E-Safety

E-safety is promoted throughout the school.

William Law CE Primary School encourages parents and children to visit the CEOP website (Child Exploitation and Online Protection) www.thinkuknow.co.uk to build knowledge of how to stay safe online. This website has lots of fun activities where children can gain vital information on staying safe.

If you have any concerns about E-Safety please speak to the Learning Mentors in the first instance.

The National Crime Agency’s CEOP Command is available to help children and young people. They can help if you are a young person and you or your friend (up to age 18) has been forced or tricked into taking part in sexual activity with anyone online, or in the real world. They also have advice and links to support for other online problems young people might face, such as cyberbullying and hacking.

Visit their Safety Centre for advice and to report directly to CEOP, by clicking on the Click CEOP button shown above.

We want Internet users of all ages to enjoy all the wonderful things the web has to offer, safely. However, when it comes to educating your kids about the Internet, you might feel out of your depth, when they’re learning, playing and chatting to friends on websites and apps you’re unfamiliar with.

To get you up to speed on the things you should be keeping an eye out for, check out Virgin Media O2 Children’s Internet Safety Tests https://www.virginmedia.com/blog/online-safety/childrens-internet-safety-test/
