Volunteers in School
We are always looking for parent/carers to come and help in school, currently for school trips or events in school. We wish to do all we can to maximise the learning opportunities for all children. Individuals and groups of children benefit tremendously from having access to an adult encouraging and supporting their learning activities. They really enjoy talking and learning with adult support. There is no doubt that children at William Law have access to many activities on a more regular basis thanks to all the parents who wish to become an active participator in the children’s learning process. It is wonderful to be able to work with children and their enthusiasm is catching!
Parent/carers who regularly help out in school will be required to have a DBS check undertaken.
At William Law CE Primary School we will support work placements, however we feel it is important for Year 10 and 11 pupils to experience schools that they haven’t previously attended. This ensures that students experience a different setting that is unfamiliar to them. We are therefore unable to offer placements to previous pupils of William Law for Year 10 and Year 11 placements.
We do offer work experience and volunteering experience to previous William Law pupils who are in Year 12 and 13.
