David Elms
I became a Co Opted Governor in June 2018. I serve on the Finance, Resources, Health and Safety Committee.
I started my working life as an engineer at Molins in Bretton in 1985. Whilst there I became a shop steward and became a committee member, eventually running the social club. Both these voluntary roles have helped me to understand and help people in both a business and personal role.
The firm closed in 1998 and I founded my company. We carry out maintenance roles in a variety of locations which I hope will help me on the various committees at William Law as I hope to put my expertise to good use.
I am also the treasurer for the Werrington Allotment Association.
I have lived in Werrington since 1992 and both my children attend the school. I am looking forward to serving as a governor at William Law School and will support its strong Christian ethos, high academic standards and I have seen first hand its commitment to developing all the children to their best ability.
We have a fantastic team here, I will work hard to ensure it continues to be so.
