Fairylands!
We have had a fantastic start to the year in Class 6. We started our term by focusing on developing our learning powers. We learnt to become more independent and work co-operatively with our peers.
To start our Fairy lands topic, we focused on learning about the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. However, one day during assembly, the Giant climbed down the beanstalk in our classroom and made a very big mess in our classroom. He left a note saying he was looking for Jack! As a class we decided to make and write Wanted posters to warn others about the GIant. We came up with some amazing adjectives to describe what the Giant looked like. We even used the outdoor construction to make a trap for the Giant. We put sand on the floor so that we could see if he stood in our playground.
Our second focus story was the Billy Goats Gruff. We learnt to retell the story using Talk for Writing actions and used this to help us role play the story with our friends.
On Friday 7th October, Class 6 went to Sundown Adventure land. We had a fantastic day. Take a look at our pictures to see what we got up to.
We had an amazing time!
